The formulas do not include: ingredients of animal origin, parabens, mineral oils, petrolatum, paraffin, formaldehyde and its releasers, SLS, SLES, oxybenzone, benzene, retinyl palmitate, microcrystalline wax, polyethylene beads, triclosan, trichlorcarban, talc, or synthetic fragrances.
Since its founding in 1978, Aveda has always been against animal testing. In 2022, Aveda received the Leaping Bunny Approval certification from Cruelty Free International.
